Final report of the revision of the BAT study for swimming pools is published

The final report of the BAT study for swimming pools is available online in Dutch.
This BAT study explores ways to reduce high water and energy consumption, as well as emissions of chlorinated compounds in wastewater. The primary focus is on minimizing disinfection by-products. Additionally, advanced treatment techniques to complement conventional filtration processes are evaluated. Finally, strategies for water and energy savings, combined with good housekeeping practices, are outlined. Based on the gathered information, recommendations for VLAREM environmental regulations are proposed, including key considerations relevant to the sector.
You can also consult the study in an interactive format via the BAT database.
