The BAT Knowledge Centre of VITO has launched a preliminary study for the revision of the BAT study on hospitals

This preliminary study explores whether a partial revision of the BAT study concerning the full cycle of prevention, management, and treatment of water flows in healthcare facilities is warranted. The focus includes the prevention and reduction of the discharge of pharmaceuticals and other micropollutants, the management of chemically contaminated water streams, Legionella control, and the sustainable and circular use of water. The role of innovative technologies and monitoring is also being addressed.
