Commission launches new website for public consultations

Back to article overview

The European Commission offers several ways for citizens to give their views on current and proposed EU laws, from suggesting new ideas to evaluating existing laws and policy proposals. A new website now makes it possible to see which public consultations are currently open in different policy areas.

You can use the new site to search for consultations in the area of energy. However, for the moment you can also access these consultations via the DG Energy website directly. Currently, there are open consultations on the Trans-European Networks – Energy (TEN-E) Regulation (which closes on 4 September) and the mid-term evaluation of the Nuclear Decommissioning Assistance Programme (which closes on 29 September).
