The strategic research and innovation targets and priorities for Actions 5 and 6 of the Integrated SET-Plan on energy efficiency have been endorsed by the SET Plan Steering Group and relevant interested stakeholders. These "Declarations of intent" record the agreements reached between the EU Member States and countries part of the SET Plan, the participating research and industry stakeholders from public and private sector and representatives of the European Commission. Action 5 of the SET Plan aims at fostering research and innovation to develop materials and technological solutions to increase energy efficiency in buildings and Action 6 aims at making EU industry less energy intensive and more competitive.
