The final draft of the study ‘Inventory of techniques for treating and valorising concentrate streams’ is now available

The final draft of the study ‘Inventory of techniques for treating and valorising concentrate streams’ is now available online in Dutch.

In this cross-sectoral study, the techniques that are currently being used in Flanders (or elsewhere) or have potential for the treatment and valorisation of concentrate streams are inventoried. Valorisation options for recovered substances (salts, metals, nutrients, chemicals) and water are also described in this study. The inventoried techniques are evaluated with regard to the phase of development, efficiency and financial aspects. This makes it possible to check whether the techniques meet the BAT criteria or can be regarded as emerging techniques.

The members of the guidance committee of this study and the steering committee of the BAT knowledge centre have until 23 February 2023 to give their agreement on the final draft or to submit any comments. After approval by the guidance and the steering committees, this study will be supplemented with any comments.
