Within Tractebel, the Energy Transmission and Storage department is in charge of various tasks related to Transmission & Distribution and electrical activities for the other product lines

  • Feasibility and Basic design;
  • Electrical System studies;
  • Detailed electrical design;
  • Procurement of electrical equipment including factory acceptance testing;
  • Electrical Design review;
  • Site supervision, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities;
  • Audit of electrical installations;
These activities are executed within different contractual contexts as for instance consulting, owners engineering, EPCM missions as well as EPC contract execution.   The Energy Transmission and Storage team is currently looking for a :     Sales Manager Energy Transmission & Storage     Your function  
  • You are integrated in the Sales Team (approx. 6 persons) and closely working with the Business Developers of EST (Energy Storage and Transmission) and you report to the Head of Sales;
  • You are responsible for sales activities for EST products, including:
    • Implement the sales process;
    • Preparation of prequalification files and proposals;
    • Pricing;
    • Risk & ethics assessments;
    • Contract negotiation;
    • Customer satisfaction follow-up;
    • Sales reporting;
    • Support in defining the sales strategy;
    • Support to the development of the sales material and tools.
  • You are responsible for supporting business development activities upon request
    • Contacts with potential clients, (internal or external) partners and subcontractors
    • Representing Tractebel in meetings and conferences
    • Finalising agreements with partners and subcontractors
    • Support to the development of the marketing material and tools




  • You have a university degree, preferably technical or economical;
  • You have 3 years’ experience in electricity transmission and distribution environment;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English. Other languages and/or experience abroad are additional assets;
  • You have a great capacity for multicultural human relations, analysis and synthesis and have negotiation skills;
  • You are a team player and have a dynamic personality;
  • You are well organized and can work independently;
  • You know how to listen to a customer, work in a team and contribute to cross-selling;
  • You are open for frequent short travel abroad.
